That is true, but what the government is doing with it and where it all goes is what is wrong. Sure they give hundreds of thousands of dollars to each school every year, but somehow it is not enough and they cut sports and other extracurricular activities. Others may say well sports are not as important as an education, this is true but sports help to enhance education. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I am just stating mine. Although my opinion is a very strong issue and many people share the same views as I. If everyone could see that sports are very important to our youths development and should not be given up on so easily. The government is misusing our youths money and is costing parents and students more money and more time to try and stand up for what they believe in. In this research paper I have tried to explain some of the reasons that our schools are losing funds for sports. I also have tried to express that sports are an important part of the learning process. They help people learn to work with others and to communicate in order to complete a task. Without these tools in life people would not get along. Most officials in the Department of Education get paid more than One hundred and twenty thousand dollars a year. They get exemptions for mileage, gas, trip expenses and get many other benefits. Surely they could find some way to keep sports and other extracurricular activities a part of the educational experience. Maybe they don’t really care?(Trevor
