Importance Of Jumping Off The Ledge

Jumping off the ledge is no easy task. Jumping when you do not see the bottom, may be even more difficult. Because I never knew what I wanted to do as a career, I did not know which direction to jump. This left me feeling uneasy leaving high school- I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and lacked the confidence and direction I needed to succeed in college. Throughout my undergraduate career I have worked a myriad of jobs including customer service, sales, maintenance, driving, and cleaning deep fryers. I was working hard but I was not getting compensated appropriately for my hard work. I decided I should try HVAC/R, it would be an opportunity to make more money and hopefully have a more rewarding job. I began taking HVAC/R classes, at the same time I worked in a factory cutting, bending, soldering copper, and installing pipe insulation. It was satisfying to see my …show more content…
Her curiosity really struck me, I was intrigued to know what made her so excited to talk about rocks. She finally told me that her Rolfer recommend crystals for her hand pain. I brushed it off, and a few weeks later I had met my aunts’ friend- a marathon runner. I talked to her about chiropractic and she mentions Rolfing to me and how it really helped her. Now I needed to know what Rolfing was. I decided to investigate and watched YouTube videos of before and after a Rolfing treatment. I scheduled an appointment with Cori Terry in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She worked on the one side of my body and then had me walk around the room. As soon as I started to walk I could feel the difference between the side she had worked on and the opposite side. After my first session I knew it was what I wanted to do. I walked out the door and I turned around to tell her I think I want to do this as a career.
