A woman can be completely poor but if she has feminity she can become rich quick. Feminity is the aspect of being a true woman and acting in womanly ways. It 's about knowing when to play the submmissive role (not bowing down) to your man. It 's about being sensual and getting in tune with your true nature of being a female, a girly-girl and a caring woman. There are many books on the subject explaining feminity in depth. Feminity is one of the reasons why men visit stripclubs because the feminine aspect is there. They 're paying for submissiveness where a woman is down to do anything the man wants, unlike their wife at home. Whatever the man wants he can get without someone nagging at them. It is argued that western women have lost their feminity due to many external factors. The rise of feminisism (which is not a bad thing), testosterone hormones in food, and women taking on manly ways because of the lack of men in their lives are all contributing to this. One of the reasons men go to eastern Asian countries and marry women from there is because they still have their feminity intact. A man may choose this kind of woman because she seems like a better deal than being with a western woman. Asian women don 't let you run over them, per se, but they are a little more fun and easier to be around. And this what a man, including Mr. Right, truly wants. Have you ever been in a club and seen a very unattractive women get all the men? This is because she might be very feminine and men can pick up on this. The borderline clown with a bunch of makeup plastered on her face may not be so feminine or sexy to them. Also, it could be the olfactory nerve in the man 's nose picking up the scent of the females in heat. This is a natural phenoenon that happens with animals as well. It is often said that men love the thrill of a chase and this is true for some men, but most men like cooperation. If you decide to play hard

In “Why Do We Make So Much of Gender,” Allan G. Johnson argues against patriarchal beliefs as well as gender profiling. He begins by proving that religion and history play a key role in how cultural expectations develop. Johnson follows by giving examples that support the fact that gender profiling still exists to this day and proves that the mistreatment of women is more than a biological issue, but social as well. Johnson, with samples from other authors, proves the irony between how men and women are supposed to be portrayed. Throughout the article, Johnson makes some strong points on the issue, but also includes weak ones as well.…

Prejudice - “an unfair feeling of dislike for a person or group because of race, sex, religion, etc.” In a world filled with a plethora of races in the world, prejudice still seems to be alive and well. Prejudice is something that does not discriminate who it affects and in what situation. The judgements people make based on stereotypes can truly cripple someone or it can even not allow people to resist immersing themselves in culture. The novels The Poisonwood Bible and The Concubine’s Children both show evidence of prejudice but on different sides of the spectrum.…

For the Sake of Womankind Gender roles have changed throughout the course of history, yet the struggle for true equality amongst men and women still prevails. Women continue to be viewed as the minority group, where being born a girl automatically lowers her social standard. This social standard dictates how she is respected, how she is viewed, and what opportunities she is given. Efforts have been and are made to blur the distinction between being a male or a female, but the amount of progress is not enough to say that both genders are equal. Some people may say otherwise, but as a whole, women will never be the equivalent of man in the eyes of American society.…

And not even prostitutes with hearts of gold (p. 56). My teenage life was spent growing up between Nigeria and England and then coming back to United States, I was surprised to see how females are very forward throwing themselves at men; I feel like some of us act too desperate, forget what it is like to be wooed, and courted. Throughout history race and gender have been closely intertwined in the construction of both black and white women’s bodies alike. The female body being viewed as natural, the medicalizing of the female body, and advertising the ideal beauty are concepts that have been embedded in Western thinking for many years. These three theories show the interaction between gender and race in the construction of thoughts concerning, and the interpretation of, the woman’s body. The first concept that affects how we view the woman’s body deals with relating the woman to the body.…

As touched upon earlier women in the game are made out to look conspicuous and less intelligent than their male counterparts. Having women dressed that way with over exaggerated breasts only goes to strengthen this imagery through the game. This sexuality can be seen in the game mission where the male character “has you chaperoning a paparazzo as he tries to photograph an aging actress’s “low-hanging muff.”” (Hoggins, 2013) This not only further exemplifies the objectives of women but also goes to show how women in the game are specifically designed to be admirable by the men.…

In the excerpt The Social Construction of Gender by Judith Lorber, she explained how gender is a part of a structured system and how it is also maintained as a process. Judith Lorber concluded her excerpt by stating that gender equality “is produced and maintained by identifiable social process and built into the general social structure and individual identities” (67). In Black Feminist Thought by Patricia Hill Collins, she explained how Black women were considered oppressed because of their gender as well as the way they were raised and taught to do things. I agree with both of these author’s main points because this is how race and class is looked at in society.…
