Program Goals
The Topaz internship program focuses on partnering with colleges across the country to provide year-round internship employment experience to undergraduate and graduate level students. This internship program provides students experiential learning experiences in preparation for the job market. The internship program does not provide college credits nor are interns guaranteed a job at the conclusion of the program.

5. Questions to identify the student’s leadership and interpersonal skills
a. Give an example of a situation when you had to compromise your own goals/objectives for the sake of the team.
b. Talk about a group project when a team member was not fulfilling their commitments. How did you deal with the person? What were the end results?
Compensation Package
Topaz provides a paid internship program that matches the responsibilities of the position. The internship standard wages are $12.00 to $15.00 depending on the internship position.

Interns will be held accountable through periodic evaluation and one to one supervision. An internship position and responsibilities does not replace a Topaz employee position and tasks.
Orientation Process
Interns are required to go through a formal Topaz orientation process to ensure he/she is aware of the Company policies, procedures and standards.
Supervision
An internship mentor or supervisor is assigned to interns at the start of their internship to help acclimate the intern to Topaz culture, assign tasks, responsibilities and be able to answer the student’s questions regarding to the position and the career field.
The supervisor/mentor is required to develop work expectations starting from the first day:
a. Work hours
b. Assigned tasks
c. Reporting structure
d. Dress code
Performance Appraisal
A formal performance goals will be set for intern at the start of each internship to monitor performance and work ethic. This performance appraisal will be completed at the end of each semester and utilized to determine continuation in the program for the next semester.
