The biggest threat to civilization and our planet is global warming. The increase in the temperature of the World’s surface both land and water are called Global Warming. Scientists have proven that increase in the temperature caused by C02 emissions caused many major environmental disasters such as melting of the glaciers, sea level rising, deforestation. Consequences of climate change can lead to damage to community’s mental health from stress to clinical disorders such as suicidal tendencies, anxiety and PTSD. Being exposed to such traumatic events can be a psychological and emotional stressor; people are vulnerable, and can’t cope with feelings of helplessness. Furthermore, climate conditions can influence on the sensitivity of people to weather (Seasonal depression) and on their well-being. If we do not take an action now, it’s severity is going to increase substantially. It pollutes the air we breathe, the food we eat, our water bodies and lastly it takes a toll on our health. Because of such disasters, distribution and access to food, water and shelter become restricted which causes frustration. We need to start at grassroot level and make people aware about global warming, we should use other alternative sources of energy and natural energy such as solar and wind.
