In short, truthfulness it self is a big solution to many problems like cheating, frauds, misrepresentation, theft and many other bad habits and sins. The world conducts itself in the fear of this truth and is always subservient to truth. If there were no truth, man would be afraid even to live. Truth confers fearlessness on man. It is truth which protects the entire world and makes it function. It is truth that drives away fear. Truth is such an important quality that only when it is being faultlessly observed by an individual will he be able to attain divinity. Character is the life-breath of truth. Virtue and good behaviour are important to character. If you ask most people do you think lying is acceptable, majority of them will not hesitate and tell you yes, and then give you multiple reasons on why lying is a bad thing. But if you actually sit down and think, everyone lies several times a day sometimes without even knowing it because the lie was so small and meaningless. But in other occasions people lie to protect things they care for and about they are also willing to accept the consequences behind their lies and actions. Some may even feel that lying at that point of time it was acceptable due to the situation they are put in. In the short story “Someone Ought to Tell Her…

Most evil people in the world are described as being liars, but does this does not make all lies evil. Everyone lies and surely not everyone in the world is evil. Most people begin to lie at age four, but no one would call an innocent child evil. Many people would argue that people lie because they solely want to be deceitful, but not all lies are as simple as that. Stephanie Ericsson in The Ways We Lie discusses many different types of lies, and why people tell these types of lies.…

Is it ok to lie in any situation, or is it just wrong to lie at all ? In four articles that I read, it states a couple of things, for example, they talk about lying and if it's bad, is lying sometimes good, and is lying good. I believe lying is only good sometimes and it should only be used in white lies. I think a good time to lie is when you protect someone. One scenario of this is the story of Ann Frank.this is a good example because they were protecting Ann and her family by saying that there was nothing upstairs.…

It is ok to lie to someone, if the intention of the lie is to protect that person. I believe this statement can be true in most cases, unless the person who’s getting helped doesn’t want their helper to deal with a big punishment. Say a person makes a mistake at their job, and their friend lies to cover for them. The person would be okay if their if their friend managed to keep their job, but would feel guilty if their friend was fired. Thus, it is sometimes better for people not to lie in some cases, for both the one who wants to help and the person who would get help.…

Lying is acceptable if it is to make life easier or to protect others, but some people say lying is unacceptable in any situation. First, lying can be used to protect others. Should we lie because most Americans think it's always okay to lie all the time others think it's never okay to lie. Americans are very conflicted on whether we should or shouldn’t lie. I my opinion lying is only acceptable under certain circumstances, such as sparing others feelings. Some may feel that lying is never acceptable because it is morally wrong, however, I believe lying is acceptable when it can be used to protect and care for others. Randy cohen gave an example when he said “ if your wife is going out and she asks if she looks bad you say no it would be rude not to, because if you are already out of the house she will feel self conscious.…

Although this has been a historical beneficial conception in society, the use of advocating facts through precise documentation as the way to developing knowledge compared to how the educational system is failing to aid this notion is likewise enlightening and informative.
