“If Beale Street Could Talk” written by James Baldwin, published June 17,1974. This book is based on a young couple, Fonny and Tish everything seems to be going fine with them, but then Fonny is accused of a crime he didn’t commit and the families are trying their hardest to get him out but the chances of that happening are very little. Tish soon finds out that she is pregnant and when she tells him,he’s very happy to be having a baby but now he is in more of a hurry to get out so he can actually be there and take care of their baby. Frank loves his son he’s is doing everything possible to help him out. He is doing everything to be able to pay for his bail and its stressing and sad for him to have his son in jail. “I’ll be a very loving motherfucker the day my son walks out of that hellhole, free.(65) frank hates having his innocent son in jail while the person that actually raped that women is going on with his life free. He soon becomes depressed because he can't really do anything to help out because the bail is so much money and they are all poor its stressing and when he gets fired from his work he becomes so desperate because he can't help without a job one day comes home and starts yelling and cursing at his daughters and wife and he storms off and goes to the to the river and the doors locked he had killed himself he just became so overwhelmed by everything. In conclusion fonny doesnt know about his father yet but he would be very sad but i imagine he would appreciate everything he has done for
