The Importance Of Valentine's Day

It was a cold and rainy night before Valentine’s Day. Everyone was getting ready to go to bed, waiting for an excited upcoming day, but not everything turned out to be as expected. It was around three in the morning and Mom started yelling and screaming. They thought something might’ve happened to her baby, since, her baby was due till March 21st. Dad took her to the hospital immediately, however, the doctors said the pain was going to go away in a matter of time. After five hours of waiting, the pain wouldn’t go away. Finally, the doctors said the baby had been ready to be born.

That baby is now sixteen years old and it’s me! Karyme. I was born on a Valentine’s Day and as cool as it must sound, it’s not. Countless of people tell me “oh that’s so cool you get two gifts” but they forget about the part where people’s attention is on Valentine’s Day and

They’re the ones who always support me with my decisions, they inspire feelings of trust, credibility and loyalty in me. Whenever, they see something is wrong with me, they can notice in a matter of seconds. I live with both of my parents. I have two brothers, but none of them live with me, which makes me really sad because I don’t spend as much time with as I would like to. However, we are always texting and talk on the phone every night. I’ve gotten in many arguments with them because I get mad they don’t let me do whatever I want, but it’s because they want the best for me. Despite of all the arguments they don’t have any anger towards me.

My best memories have been by my family’s side. One of the best memories I have with them is when we went to the beach with my cousins and I remember we would all play together. Sometimes I wish things were still the same, since, we’re not as close as we used to be. We would spend whole days playing and laughing, building sandcastles, feeling the waves coming into the shore with the salty smell of the
