1. INTRODUCTION
All over the world, it is realized that the job satisfaction reflects employees’ turnover. Most people in employment experience a degree of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their job. Job satisfaction is very important because it is directly or indirectly involved with personal and organizational well-being. For the past few years, employees’ turnover has been of great interest to researchers. Turnover intention is the employees plan to leave their jobs or to fire the employees. Turnover intention can be either voluntary or involuntary. In voluntary turnover, employee leaves the organization willingly. To find the job satisfaction and turnover intention with the study of gender, age, nationality etc
1.3. Problem Statement
Employees’ turnover depends on the job satisfaction level and emotional involvement with respect to its working environment, reward system etc. But the ideal condition is that organization should feel that labor is the asset of the company and without them organization cannot run. The practical reality is that turnover of employees depend on job satisfaction level.
2. LITERATURE REVIEW Job satisfaction and turnover
A study by Macintosh and Doherty (2010) showed that job satisfaction strongly influenced the intention to leave the organization for employees; furthermore, a positive and friendly workplace is an important factor for the satisfaction of employees. Research has shown that less satisfied employees are less engaged in their work while more satisfied employees are more engaged in their work. Turnover effect the efficiency of the other employees. It is good for the organization to fire the employees who are not efficient in their work and replace them with the productive ones which will bring innovative ideas and solutions.
Impact of Working Environment on Job Satisfaction and turnover
The working environment is considered as the most significant factor of job satisfaction. If the working environment is friendly and cooperative, the employee will work more efficiently and produce good results (Spector, 2008). The other researcher in this study found that work environment is also a main predictor of employee job satisfaction in the organization (Carlan, 2007).
A recent meta-analysis by Clarke (2010) found that employees safety directly relate to employee job satisfaction. The pay packages, working conditions, recognition and benefits satisfy the employees (Lavy, 2007). The job satisfaction is the critical factor in delivering the quality products/services and ultimately for the success of the company (Silva, 2006).
