The main reason Achilleus is fighting in the Trojan war is to get Briseis back which Agamemnon has given him the chance to do. The reason Achilleus is fighting in the war against the trojans in the first place is he wants to get is main prize back his wife Briseis. He has gone through the hardship of battle the scrapes with death, having to deal with Agamemnon a man he cannot stand, so he too could get the women that was ripped away from him. The main problem with this point is if he goes and lives a long life without fighting he is good as dead. Achilleus will be back home without the one thing he fought to get back his wife Briseis. Without her there was no reason to go and fight and the first place. If Achilleus lives a long life without glory he will also be very unhappy in his long life.
