What is an engineer? To me an engineer is someone who has the curiosity of how things work and apply that knowledge to solve problems. I believe engineers are people who use math and science to build things we all use. I think anyone can also be an engineer as long as you have the drive to make something better. One career in engineering is being a computer engineer. A computer engineer one who fixes computers and find ways to make them smaller and smarter. Computers engineers specialize in one specific area. They are usually split up into two groups with one working on the software and the other working with hardware. The people who specialize in hardware are the ones who design the computer and also work on computer …show more content…
There are some colleges that offer education and a paid work experience. Those that are in programs like those have more valuable experience that increases employment opportunities. There are also training sessions for current chemical engineers to enhance their knowledge. They recommend training from high school by taking science classes such as biology, chemistry, and physics. The also recommend math courses such as trigonometry, algebra, and calculus. The Institution of Chemical Engineers is a group that also runs various training events. Some included are conferences, short courses, and training packages. There are companies that also offer training schemes for graduates so they able to get a basic spectrum of the experience needed to become and have a career as a professional engineer. Since there is a planned growth of chemical engineers which will offer at least 9 thousand jobs the chances are not so bad but not the greatest. The growth is not so great compared to many other jobs. To get a job as a chemical engineer you should have lots of hands on training and experience and as well you must have your bachelors in chemical engineering. You have qualities such as creativity, detail oriented, and have good communications skills which is increasingly more important for all
