With the help of persuading each other they were able to come with an agreement. Lady Macbeth, who initially became ambitious, wants this attribute to be passed on to Macbeth. In order to this Lady Macbeth chastises her husband, she says “When you durst do it, then you were a man; an to be more than what you were, you would be so much more the man.”(I.viii.56) Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth that if he does the murder he will become more of a man. She goes on and says that if Macbeth does becomes ambitious and kills the king he will be more than a man and she will be more attracted to Macbeth. Macbeth in return has an offer to make to Lady Macbeth. Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth “Bring forth men-children only” (I.viii.83), which tells one that she should only give birth to a boy so the heir could be passed on.
