How do you think social media has affected the society today? What makes you believe that way? Do you view social media as a positive or negative way? Why? Kalainhe went home one day and jumped on her phone. Kalainhe was then going through her email and got a message from another girl, however she was much older than Kalainhe. She did not know who she was. Although she did not know the girl, she got the instances to still look at the message, so she did and she found out that she has an older half-sister. Kalainhe was so shocked and completely speechless. The next day, she then went to go visit her sister that she didn't even know about. Many people don't know or get how and where things are, but using the web they can find things just like that whether then having to struggle on where to look and how to get there. For instance, Erick Qulman states, "Social gamers buy $6 million in virtual goods by 2013", "youtube.com". People are having to use the online sites so that it would make it more easy for them than having to go to store and find the game. Additionally, Erick Qulman says, "93% of markets use social media for businesses", "youtube.com". Businesses all around the world use online communication for businesses like restaurants, fast food places, and gaming industries. My aunty was having some issues with finding a job. She did not know of how to get a job and who was hiring, until she used her phone and search jobs on the internet. There she found a lot of job openings that she would not have found if she did not have the internet. Furthermore, Erick Qulman introduces that, "In Jamica health workers constibute information about HIV using social media", "youtube.com."
