This will have a positive effect on the child 's development as the real life experiences will give the child the opportunity to learn outside the school environment. Alternatively, there is some negative effect that certain family situations have on a pupil such as family break up, bereavements and even new sibling. Each of these will have adverse effects on the child 's development, for example, if a family is experiencing a break up the child will suffer from stress and isolation at home, this in turn can cause the child to become withdrawn in school and may experience violent outbursts from the pupil to either their classmates or teachers. In cases of bereavement the pupil may become quiet and isolated at school and be unwilling to talk to friends or teacher, this can sometimes be the case when a student has a new sibling born as their family life would have completely
