1. How do the dimensions of management culture of the 3 foreign nations differ from each other? Mexico and China Power Distance Index (PDI) and the Individualism (IDV) dimension differ from the UK. Additionally, China and the UK Uncertainty Avoidance Index (UAI) and Long-Term Orientation (LTO) dimension differ from Mexico. Therefore, the leaders in these cultures accept an entitled society and their organizations maintain a centralized structure. Furthermore, managers are expected to generate decisions and in return the managers expect their subordinates to adhere to specific instructions without question. Unfortunately, this type of management culture does not promote self-improvement from their employees. Likewise, Mexico (30) and China (20) have low IDV scores which signal these cultures believe an individual loyalty to their team and families is vital. In the event that a weakness is identified within a team or family, managers expected to ensure that weakness is rectified by the entire group to prevent an embarrassment. As stated above, China (30) and the UK (35) UAI dimension was similar in the score.
