An Essay On Honesty Is The Best Policy?

An old proverb says, "Honesty is the best policy." I agree that honesty is a great policy, but not the best one for me. In my opinion, the best policy is justice, justice is the father (root) of honesty and respect; However, honesty doesn't stop being a great policy too. I agree with being honest even though it can hurt a person's feelings, but is not mine or anybodies' fault that the person gets hurt, they get hurt themselves by not admitting the truth or because they don't like it, so I still agree with being honest because the experiences I had teaches me that being honest is the right way.
One experience that made me agree to be honest is the time when I broke my own chromebook because of my temper problems. After I broke my chromebook by that time, I immediately talked to my father about it because I wanted to be honest even I knew that he could had leaved me on the ground. My dad got mad by

I didn't listen very well that there was homework for the math class and I didn't had it for the next day in math class, when the teacher noticed that we had homework to do at the last minute when she was going to check it, I start being honest and said that I didn't had it even I looked like one of the typical lazy kids on my school. If I had not told the teacher that I didn't had my homework when she asked me, she would figure it out by herself and it would be worst for ignoring her, so I said it. This a situation that happens frequently in school when you have to say with honestly if you did your work or not even you think you look stupid.
Honesty is not the best policy but a great one, without it the world would be a mess. Even if you don't want to hurt your social image, you have to say what you need to say without lying. With only experiences you learn that lying and ignoring an important question you have to answer is not the right choice, so you have to be

Of course, I’m human and lied sometimes but ultimately never felt right doing it. Partly because my parents focused so much of their time and energy, working up to 60 hours a week at the fields, and still had time to teach me honestly. I just took it as my duty to never lie, almost out of respect. Just last week, I took a quiz for AP history, and I got a 3/10 on a quiz. I had the opportunity to give him a fake score, but since he is such a nice person, I couldn't take advantage of him.…

When one believes in a stereotype this causes the source of tension among one another. In the film, Do the Right Thing by Spike Lee there is an immense amount of racial tensions among a diverse community. In a diverse and conflicted community, people can reunite and value community power rather than individual power in order to face the injustices of black people or other minority groups. Spike Lee is arguing that in order to generate a change people have to put away their differences. However, he is also arguing that it is a difficult decision when deciding whether or not to participate in the action of innovation.…

What do you think or feel about lying to others?Lying is sometimes acceptable, it just depends on the situation. How would you if someone is lying to not hurt your feels or anyone’s feeling. In my opinion everyone lies for that they do bad or other things to not get blame for anything that they did. For example they to not get in trouble or to just look good with their friends. I believe that lying is sometimes ok because their are certain people with mental health, that will hurt their self if their is something wrong with them or how they look.…

William Shakespeare once said “no legacy is as rich as honesty”. Anything and everything is not as good as being honest . I once lied and grew tired of the game and i thought about it and realized that honesty was the key to this cage of lies that I got myself locked into. It is better to be honest than to be anything. You can make a choice to be a honest, admired person , because after you make that choice people will follow.…

I try to stay away from that kind of dishonesty, and always have since I was a little girl, because I didn 't like how we were being taught to behave. I want to live life being honest with myself and with others. I try to listen to what other people say and have genuine conversations about what matters. The flaw in social behavior is fear of offending or hurting the people around them, and that leads to surface-level socialization. Basically, a lot of talking that means very…

you find telling the truth way more easier than it is to tell the lie or “sweet talk” your way out of it. Lies no matter how big or small are going to add up and get much more confusing in the end. When speaking out on the truth its half of most people’s instinct or in my cases it’s not, but after a while and you focus on not telling lies it becomes nearly too almost impossible to lie .Someone or something gives it away and they are left already knowing. Like for example if there was a surprise dinner for someone at work and the person you are throwing a surprise to ask what are you doing for the weekend you say I have this surprise dinner I have to go to and you were just being honest and everyone was trying to be secretive about. If you are an honest person most people will come to you about information or feedback.…
