Now, businesses are trying several different approaches. This includes adding different types of incentive programs. One way that institutions and organizations are able to attract, engage, and maintain its accredited professionals are by using the performance philosophy. In doing this, they are able to differentiate their workforce from traditional to a modern day compensation system. Businesses and institutions are using a pay-for-performance program instead of a guaranteed bonus to individuals for services they may not have earned to rewarding them on the performance they did. In return, it engages the employees while improving performance, decreases turnovers, and cut down on overhead expenses. For HPWS to be successful there has to be a change in management. Companies that give their employees more decision making responsibilities, and using management and supervisor as instructors, mediators, and incorporates of team engagement. Still there is another part of high-performance work system infrastructure and that is communications and information technology. Through information systems technology allows each of the other areas of the HPWS framework communicate and share information, however face-to-face is always the method (Snell & Bohlander, 2013). However it is all these pieces combined that makes a success HPWS.
