It was 9 o’clock in the morning and the chaos had already begun. My brand new earrings broke, I was dissatisfied with my prom hair, and my makeup stylist was running late, causing my prom group to get behind schedule. The good thing about living in a tight knit community is when crises strike, everyone is there to help. My church has an apartment above it, and that 's where my family stayed. Unfortunately, six people in a one bedroom apartment was a little too crowded for comfort. Therefore, my friends’ family kindly welcomed me into their home for as long as I needed.
