The company chosen by Group 3 is Hertz. Walter Jacobs began The Hertz Corporation in 1918, in 1923 John Hertz brought over the company from Jacobs but he Jacobs still remained in the company until his retirement (Hertz Corporation, 2015). Hertz’s stock ticket symbol is “NYSE: HTZ” and the NAICS Code is 53211101, Passenger Car Rental (Manta, 2015). Hertz is in the industry of automobile rental and leasing services. Hertz’s headquarter right now is located in Park Ridge, New Jersey, which later on will relocate this year to Estero, Florida. When people think of Hertz, they will jump to the assumption that it is using the B2C (Business to Consumer) model because they are providing car rental services to the customer. This is correct, but Hertz is also using the B2B (Business to Business) model. Hertz acquires different cars from different manufactures, to which they later on market them to consumer for rent (Hertz Corporation, 2015, 2015). Hertz also provides other business promotion for their employees (Hertz Corporation, 2015). Furthermore, Hertz services are being marketed to consumers by other online traveling sites. Therefore, Hertz utilizes the B2B and B2C business model.
Hertz fleet has a wide variety of car manufactures, but one of the manufactures Hertz is known with dealing with is Ford. The company had originally started with majority Ford manufactured cars.
