Heroism is something that is differently defined between different people. Many times, the ideal hero is thought of as someone that must do some extravagant deed to be labeled as a hero; however, that is not the case. Defining the term hero, analyzing aspects of what makes up a hero, and determining the qualities that do not make up a hero will truly express the meaning of what a hero means and stands for. So what is a hero? A hero is a person who is well known for courageous acts and having a good character: For some people they believe a hero has special abilities, but not all heroes have that ability. In order to be considered a hero they must have courage, confidence, caring, and selflessness which does not take special abilities. …show more content…
We call those people anti heroes because they do not have the qualities or the personal traits to become a hero. While some people might be brave enough to put their life on the line for somebody else to live, but then there are others who are not willing to make that sacrifice and would much rather run away than fight. Another reason why everybody cannot be a hero is because heroes have to be unselfish. Heroes must be able to put other people's lives and problems before your life and problems. Also in order to become a hero you must be confident in yourself and what is the job at task. Many people in this world cannot handle this trait because many people are nervous and are second guessing their self all of the time. For example they cannot just say i'm going to save this kid from getting beat up but then run away when the bullies see at someone trying to …show more content…
As a child, she was fighting for girls' education, which had disrespected a terrorist group known as the Taliban, who eventually had issued a death threat against her because of what she believed in. Malala put her life on the line for every girl in the country and she almost lost her life, on October 9, 2012, when she was traveling home from school a gunman came onto the bus and shot her in the head in front of all the kids. But even though she was shot in the head she survived the attack and continued to fight for girls education. Despite being shot in the head she continued to fight back she displays everything that a hero needs which is being confident, caring, unselfish, and willingness to put their lives on the line for standing up to what is right for the people. With her displaying these acts she ended up winning the Nobel Peace Prize for her actions. If there is anybody in the world who should be described as a hero it should be Malala because of what she is doing for the women in her
