P1: Describe four legislative factors that influence health and safety in sports.
Health and safety in sports is one of the very vital parts of any sports activity. It is necessary and important for these to be observed before an activity takes place or starts. There are laws and regulations as to what is needed to achieve certain levels of health and safety. The laws are here by governed by several bodies and organisations that ensure the respective laws are hereby followed and adhered to.
I am going to look at four legislative factors that have an impact/influence to the health and safety in sports. Legislative factors relate to making and enforcing of the law. In this case the laws are governing the safety and health in sports.

It states that before an employee or athlete takes part in activity they should and must make sure they wear the appropriate protective gear. This includes those that are worn(clothing) or carried in order to protect them from hazard and risks. PPE includes several equipments ranging from ear plugs, high visual jackets, shin guards etc depending on the sport or work being done.
It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that the appropriate PPE has been provided and is being used correctly. Every PPE has to come with an instructional manual that explains how the equipment should be used, if not so, then the employer has to provide an appropriate method of explaining how to use. It can either be through a trainer or by allowing fellow employees to teach each other. No matter the the case it is the employers job to ensure that all employees are educated on how to use and have the appropriate PPE. if the employee does not wear the PPE and is injured then the employer is not liable if the equipments were …show more content…
There was a fire that broke out and managed to kill 56 and wounding 265 people. This caused amendments to be made to the laws that govern fire safety in the field. The laws are currently still being used and seem to be effective. It states that every stadium must have sufficient escaping roots incase of a fire and the necessary equipments to coop with the fire before it spreads further. This means that escape roots have to be made more accessible to the public incase of such a scenario and that there should be more fire extinguisher available. This will ensure that incase a fire arises, there will be sufficient tools to deal with it before it spreads, and incase of incapability to handle the situation no one is trapped within the fields boundaries. This helps very much to get rid if the commotion that is always present at the scene of a
