My First Week-Personal Narrative

We had been aching for some fun that week, however none of us had any ideas on what “kind” of fun we wanted. The week was quite stressful, due to many tests, assignments, and life in general, so we decided we needed a good “stress reliever” for the weekend. I guess just like every other teenager, my friends and I live for the weekend, because we started planning the event for that weekend around Monday of that week. We had finally decided that we were going to throw a party at Summer Martin’s ‘grandma Dodie’s’ house on Friday night, since her grandma would be out of town that weekend visiting her son. The week went on and Friday had finally arrived! My friends and I were all jittery at school that day, being that we had a scheduled two-hour early dismissal and …show more content…
Through the excitement of the day, we still had to keep our cool and not let anyone know what we were doing that night, because we didn’t want the party to get out of hand. The house was very small, and located in a neighborhood in the middle of downtown lewisburg, so things needed to be kept on the downlow. When the clock hit 3:25 we peeled out of the school doing about 95 around the Fairlea 500. We all knew that we wanted something cheap to eat, since we would need money for drinks later, so we decided to eat at McDonald’s. After we ate, none of us had any plans for the afternoon, so we drove around town in the infamous “black hoe.” This car was ridiculously abused by our friend group back in those days; we treated it as if it were a party bus that was lifted and off-road capable, but could still race anyone who challenged it. The vehicle was undoubtedly none of the above. It was a family car with around two hundred and fifty-some thousand miles on it that had transmission troubles and frequent flat tires due to the fact that they were smoother than a babies ass. These smooth tires also caused us to hydroplane every time it so much as

The day of August 27, 2012 I was officially titled a freshman. One look down those unknown red and blue walls, will forever change my perspective of high school. There was an instant moment of disbelief in my freshman, I was terrified, and no thought came to mind as to how I was going to survive high school for the next four years. Of course I knew it'll be different from my tiny middle school, but will it be like the cliché movies about the upcoming of age, or resemble the happiest times of life. From that first day, I knew I wasn’t like everyone else.…

As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…

Societal issues are apparent in the evident gap among sexes. Anna Quindlen’s essay, “Between the Sexes, A Great Divide, discusses just that. Quindlen reflects upon the questions: Can one cross the divide of the sexes? Or, are these differences inevitably incurable?” The author addresses the inevitable chasm that exists between male and female.…

I didn’t not know what I was expecting. On the first day of high school, I stepped into a crowd of students, waiting to enter the building that would become my second home for the next four years. I didn’ not know where I would stand among these highly accomplished individuals, or if I would even amount to the standards set before me. Self-doubt began to fester inside of me as soon as I stepped through the front doors. I expected less and less of myself as time went on.…

From the age of four to seventeen I attended a Catholic school. At the start of Pre-K I was introduced to Jesus Christ. Maybe I don’t fully remember the times I spent praying when I was four and in Pre-K but I’m positive from what I’ve seen throughout the years each little kid was taught a prayer at a young age. Though at that time I was young and introduced to my faith through prayer at even at a younger age I was welcomed into my Catholic faith.…
