In an age of globalization, there are still people debating of whether globalization is an advantage or disadvantage for our society. Every day you hear it on the news; you read it on the newspaper and everywhere. However it seems like in every part of the world the meaning of globalization has a different meaning. When I listen of globalization I think of the whole nations coming together in all phases. So what its really globalization and its effects on the United States? First off, we will search and explore some definitions of the term globalization. Although, a lot of Americans has a major reservation about how trade has been put into practice: Americans show strong preoccupation that, even thought trade has benefited business and the rich people, it has not benefited Americans workers instead they believe it has widened the gap between the rich and poor people. Americans also show worry that the trade has been harmful to the environment, international labor standards and poor countries. However in my view point I truly believed that globalization has more positive advantages for the U.S than negative. I see the globalization as a process of the world becoming increasingly connected. One advantage is the lower trade and open world trade that has increased the world to growth in goods, products, and services. It has consequently increased incomes and rose up the standards of living globally, which unfortunately, doesn’t mean for each individual. However it is an advantage for the world because third world countries are able to begin to develop. And many of the natives are provide with jobs to help their community and country. Another advantage is that at the beginning the globalization of trade has involved, principally, trade in goods, but now we have an advantage of trade in services, telecommunications financial services, computer and information technologies, creating more and better
