Sociology forms the core study of human interaction both in the role of household labor and at the group level. Several writers have stated it for instance. J. Scott (1994) writes that it is important to note that the gender roles of men and women are clearly defined right from birth based on culture, social status and their economic environment. The environment in this case needs both external and internal interactions with their society. In order to investigate the possible contribution of this practice to gender inequality, this paper focuses on how gender and social class has perpetuated inequality within the society and brings up possible solutions to control it.

However, in today’s modern society, men and women are seen as equals and should therefore assume the same responsibilities. Alternatively, by looking at the dynamics of a society one thing becomes clear. Through socialization and other forms of human interaction, individuals learn to differentiate the accepted code of behavior leading to their distinctive roles in society. It is this kind of diversity that drives the uproar for change and better gender representation in all the aspects of life. (See for instance Coon, 2001). For example, parents buying specific toys to communicate different gender roles for a girl and a boy.
The responsibility of men and women has gradually changed over time based on perception and technology. In the traditional set up, every gender occupied a distinct role in the society while in the modern set up equality is a major debate with everyone fighting for equal recognition. However, the difficulty of working mothers staying off work from home creates an additional responsibility at home by looking after babies (For example Scott, 1994). In essence this ultimately leads to inequalities among the gender. In other words, equal division of work is not really equal since mothers have to take additional roles at home.
In our modern set up where there exists a variety of options available for formal education, it has been shown
