In the eyes of some, having a homosexual in the military would not waver the effectiveness if they can do their job in the military. Men and women have different bathroom facilities because many personnel do not want the opposite sex seeing them showering and becoming aroused. If the military allows openly gay men and women to join a unit, then the armed forces will have to accommodate homosexuals by having separate showering times. The reason being is straight soldiers will not be comfortable bathing in front of gay men and women, because there is a possibility they may be attracted to them sexually. With a parent blatantly stating that they are homosexual; they have no desire to provide their child with parents of both sexes. As Peter Sprigg once said, “. . . the legalization of homosexual ‘marriage’ would not be its effect on adults, but its effect on children.” Children learn their roles in the world from their parents. How to take care of the family by providing food and shelter from the father along with how to clean the home and care for children from the mother. If America legalizes same-sex marriage it is the “. . . deliberate creation of permanently motherless or fatherless households for children.”
