Once training needs have been identified and training activities have been decided as part of the solution in Salon 62, a needs analysis should be done to determine knowledge, skills, and attitude requirements and performance deficiencies. The needs analysis procedure involves breaking down the "training problem" into its basic parts in different succeeding steps to identify and understand the important components in each step. Ultimately it leads to identifying and understanding the training content in their business. As Salon 62 says, the training needs analysis process can be divided into three steps in their business: job analysis, task analysis, and knowledge analysis.
Job analysis in Salon 62: Job analysis is a method of determining major areas of tasks where training may be needed. This analysis allows a trainer which is Salon 62 to better understand what an employee does in their business. Job analysis involves the task identification of a particular job. In the Salon 62 techniques used in task identification include job questionnaire, interview, participant observation, job audit, and small-group discussion.
Task analysis in Salon 62: The output of the job analysis is a list of broad job tasks, based on importance, learning difficulty, and frequency of doing the task. Each task is a complex set of procedures in itself, and therefore
