I have learned from this experience that I should better put forth more time and effort into creating original work. After reading “Plagiarism and How to avoid it” by Professor McInarney, I have come to understand that even paraphrasing one’s work without proper citation is also considered plagiarism. Furthermore, even loosely paraphrasing ideas without citing them is inappropriate and is considered plagiarism. This to me is new knowledge, I should have known this information better more importantly the day I was signing the honor code pledge, if not I should have asked questions for further clarification. I am very thankful to the honor court to have taken that into account and allowed me to remain in the course and have provided me a second shot, I needed it to prove to the honor court that I really can do things right. Moreover, for offering me a chance move past these offenses and to regain the trust of both Professor Briggs and the honor code court. I especially would like to thank professor Briggs for being fair and considerate in terms of his impartiality and allowing me avenues to peruse if I at any time I felt that his grading’s of my future assignments were not impartial. Please accept my most sincere apology once again for knowingly plagiarizing. What I did was wrong and there is no excuse for it. I also at times lack of experience for not knowing some of the details of the honor code (i.e. paraphrasing ideas without
