The main factor of Orangetheory Fitness’s future growth rests in repairing their effort to establish a community using the brand and social media involvement. The first factor that Orangetheory’s Ann Arbor locations need to consider is the target audience for community growth efforts. It seems that the strategy and scope used to reach the social media target audience does not match the desired target audience for both Ann Arbor locations. However, the lack of diversity is stemming from social media content that is ubiquitous among all Orangetheory Fitness social media, not just the Ann Arbor location’s social media. Thus, it seems that this content is corporate created content, and as a result, it appears the target audience of the national brand of Orangetheory Fitness is not aligned with the Ann Arbor target audience.…

In “Oranges” a 1960 love poem by Gary Soto, a theme of sacrifice is present throughout the story by using the symbolism of oranges, the fruit, to portray warmth, love and passion. The twelve year old boy, sacrificed one of the two oranges which he had saved for later, so that he could pay for “what she wanted (Soto, 27)”. The young boy understood that to be in love requires sacrifice. His willingness to surrender everything in his possession to make her have “a smile starting at the corners of her mouth,” fulfilled his heart's desire (Soto, 28-29). The orange was a token of his love and helped illustrate the theme of sacrifice.…

The United States Armed Forces and veterans have sacrificed their entire lives to protect those of civilians, and because of that they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and care. Unfortunately, many veterans never fully recover from their military careers, and are left either partially or completely disabled due to physical and/or mental injury. This leaves them unable to work and provide for themselves and their families. An even smaller portion of these veterans were left disabled as a direct result of Operation Ranch Hand, during the Vietnam War. “Oranges” the poem by Gary Soto is a nostalgic telling of two young children going on a walk, from the perspective of the young boy. This is seemingly the first time that he has ever experienced an interest in girls, and the narrator is reflecting on the time when he went first went walking with a girl in the cold December. At the time, the narrator was twelve years old, but I think that the poem is about his growth and the changes that all young children go through when they are first discovering love and romance. Even though the poem is set in the mid twentieth century, it is still relatable. Every adult has gone through their first crush and can remember the rush of feelings that crushes come with.…
