The main goal of every person is to succeed, right? But true success does not come without failure. Success takes hard work, intelligence, humility, and failure leads to all three of these things. Money is to the root of all evil as failure is to the root of all true success. You must first fail in order to succeed. Failure helps you find the ingredients that are essential to succeeding. Failure is a much better teacher than success, because failure teaches success. True success is not something that just comes easily to somebody. True success comes from a large sum of hard work and dedication. Failure is also the root of hard work. Experiencing failure motivates hard work and dedication. “I 've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I 've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I 've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I 've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Michael s known as the best basketball player ever. Michael didn’t make the basketball team is sophomore year. He failed. Two years later he was recruited by the University of North Carolina, and then was drafted into the NBA. He failed and then succeeded. There is so much more to success than winning. Success takes early morning and late nights. It takes hard work and complete focus, and failure is the spark of all of that. Hard work creates the proper mindset for success. When it’s go time and you’ve finished all the training your mind is telling you that you are ready for that moment. That hard work gives a certain type of confidence. It is like a slow acting poison that gradually destroys you. Success without failure creates a deadly mindset. You think you know everything that you need to know. You stop training so hard and you go through the motions. That success creates laziness. That laziness creates the downfall, and doesn’t allow repeated success. Then you become cocky. You think you are better than you actually are. Then you underestimate your opponent or obstacle. Then when that happens you fail. This is not a good kind of failure. This is called failure after success. This can destroy someone. You lose all confidence in yourself and then you don’t know what to do. Then it seems almost impossible to succeed. You don’t remember how to prepare. That is the end of success, and then it’s nothing but bad
