Introduction
The humans’ explorations of Nature has been reformed in the past two thousand years, there are basically threefold: (1) Observation, imagination and classification (2) hesitation and integration (3) providing quantitative evidence. It is highlighted that science is a blend of logic and imagination. First, we observe our sensible world and discover new thing(s) and then identify and classify our objects- repeated induction and deduction. Next, explain our ideas with mathematical evidence through investigations …show more content…
He identified reality with the properties that classes of things have in common by using an example of a dog (Plato 15) in order to prove his thought : there are two realms: a realm of forms or idea, containing the perfect for of everything; the material realm in which these forms or ideas are imperfectly replicated. (Plato 15) After defining the nature of “science”, the trivial and missing parts are acquired easily through clear characteristic analysis. Plato’s philosophy inspired us to implement the hypothesis to our sensible world after observation and therefore identify the objects in order to scratch the picture in …show more content…
This contributes to the higher accuracy with objective items and precise prediction of material regularity by quantification, for example, the periodic motion of the planets. (Cohen 61)While Aristotle claimed that controlled experiments violated the nature of things (Lindberg 24), Newton began the experimental study of the analysis (Cohen 50), by data, statistics and numbers etc. and thus developed the general principles of the dynamics of moving bodies and applied the principles to the mechanism of the universe,(Cohen 54) making reliable predictions of the future. The regulation of human affairs would yield to a similar rational system of deduction and mathematical inference coupled with experiment and critical observation. (Cohen 62)
More authentic theory may be created by verification and to prevent someone creating troublesome “theory”.
Conclusion
The threefold in science is a way to create a complete puzzle by drafting, outlining and proving, which is extracted from the material world. It ignites my interests in mesmerizing science because it combines philosophy and authentic evidence in order to achieve our goal and even apply in my daily
