The world was created by who? Science, God or its self? All these questions are asked everyday by people who do not want to believe there is a magnificent being up in heaven. I would not say I never thought exactly like the way these people think but because of my encounter with the God, I am able to believe there is a supreme being. According to the biblical view, God is the creator of all things here and is to come. The animals, tress, sunlight, darkness, and most importantly humans. (Genesis 1-26) emphasizes on the world and how it came about. This passage proves that God is the creator of earth and things in it. Man is made in God image because he loves us. Through our vocation we are able to share the word of God with unbelievers and invite them to the house of the lord. If we are not able to understand the essence of God and being in His image, we are unable to know our vocation. I plan on being an engineer in the future and making it possible for people to know God. Knowing that there is a God and will always be one, I will be able to share to those who are ready to hear. As a Christian, when being asked about my religion in my future career, I will be able to boldly defend what I believe from people who are against it. Just understanding the doctrine of creation and God involvement in it can help me explain to unbelievers who he is? why he still exists? and why we believe in him? According to Gene Edward Veith, “the doctrine of vocation shows Christians to how to live out their faith in the world.” He states that the vocation is a way for Christians to let the people of the world know God in their workplace and outside. The world was created by God and is still in His possession. All because of His love, He sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins and redeem us.
