The excuses of steroid users
Introduction
One of the worst nightmares for any player or athlete in the world of sport is testing positive for banned substances that boost their performance to even superhuman levels. They will say anything if anything to absolve themselves from any blame of consuming such substances knowingly. This menace has been around for several years and the ever growing list of absurd excuses continues to be filled with each one trying to point a finger in their opposite direction. What is it that leads them to using the substances and why deny such behavior vehemently when nabbed? Truth be told, these professionals need to come clean and take up responsibility for their actions whenever they are caught (Leo J).

This combined with their ego uninformed decisions and search for glory by the sportsmen leads them to search for the ultimate answer to all these leading them to taking steroids to enhance performance. Use of steroids has become common even to even high school athletes seeking to make a cut into the professional world. Given the vulnerability of the youth it’s a great concern to the sporting world and its future at large. Usage of the steroids comes at a price for both the students and athletes, students face a suspension of thirty days from school and competition in any sporting activity for the same period (UIL Anabolic Steroid Testing). Professional athletes are faced by stricter consequences based on type of sport, rules and regulations existing. In prior periods various punishments have been meted including striping off Olympics medals to those found guilty of the vice like recently done to Marion
