There Is a Reason Behind Everything
The truism “everything happens for a reason” is more than just a cliché. What is a cliché? A cliché is a phrase or opinion that is overused and betrays a lack of original thought. However, this cliché has a deeper meaning. What exactly does that mean? It has a vast meaning more so than most people realize. Everything we do happens for a reason. Good, bad, or otherwise it is still a reason. Growing up I heard this saying a lot. As a kid I was always told things happened for a reason. I never knew why or what that meant at the time. But as time passed I began realizing everything that did happen it happened for a reason. Here is an example of this. I was about twelve years old and I had a mutt from the pound. He was a beautiful soft coated black dog, who weighed less than a feather when he would jump on me. I cannot for the life of me remember his breed but I called him Gizmo. The reason for his name was because I watched the movie “Gremlins.” My dog reminded me of the cute cuddly little light weight fuzz ball who was a Mogwai. We had moved to a new housing area and no matter

Because if he did not escape we would have never have gotten rid of him and the little girl may not have gotten such an amazing dog for a service dog. Because Gizmo was the greatest dog anyone could have ever wanted. So, after I found out that my best friend (Gizmo) found a place where he would not be ignored or abused, I slept better at night. I was at ease to know he went to a place where he was needed. I like to think he was loved and cared for and he helped a girl with a problem she had. In a way to me he was kind of a protector. Which fits into the Gremlins movie when Gizmo protects Billy (the young man who received Gizmo as a pet) from a gremlin who tried to kill Billy. So, when I think of Gizmo, I think of a

“I have so much chaos in my life, and it’s become normal. You become used to it. You have to just relax, calm down, take a deep breath and try to see how you can make things work rather than complain about how they're wrong,” Says Tom Welling an American actor, producer, director, and model. As most people clearly know, life is hard rough road that likes to turn everyday life on its head. Chaos might occur when parents’ divorce, when a death of a love one comes out of nowhere, or when something out of the ordinary happens in everyday life.…

When I was younger, I believed life was like a seesaw. When something bad happened, something good had to happen afterwards. Now that I’m older, I see that life is like a seesaw, but not in the good or bad occurrences sense. When a person gets on a seesaw alone, the seesaw does not stay balanced, for weight is only on one side of it. In your life, if you focus on one extreme thing, life will always be lopsided.…

My Access #2 There could be a lot of meanings to the quote by Colin Wilson. There could be different experiences, and also some different views on what the quote is trying to tell us. Many people might not understand the quote because they don’t know what it’s like to actually come back from failure because they had everything given to them. What I get from the quote by Colin Wilson is that average humans are used to being in some bad situations because they don’t want to try their hardest.…

Failure is like a unicorn, we read about it in stories, see in on tv, but we've never encountered one in our everyday life. Have you ever seen failure in its true form? Would you say that losing a race is a bad thing? Or burning a cake? In actuality, failure is not defeat, because it serves purpose for later events in one’s life; moreover, an action is only failure when one gives up and does not continue on their path to success.…

I have been volunteering at my local library ever since my high school career has begun. Over the summer, I motivate little kids to read: I convince them to comprehend the various stories read, and in return they are rewarded with various prizes. During the weekends, I assist children with the material they may be struggling with in school. Every now and then, a few kids would bring in their homework, while others brought in either textbooks or their notes.…
