The Other Side of the Story
He has always been there for me. Ever since I was a little girl my dad and I have had a special bond, I could talk to him about everything, and he listened, even to the things he really didn’t care to know. It was a goal of his to make sure my sister, my mom and I all felt loved no matter what he had to go through to make that happen. My dad is very outgoing, the kind of person who has “never met a stranger” and when he does meet a stranger he is easily able to befriend them. He is very kind to people and treats everyone, older and younger than himself, with respect. I’ve never met anyone more selfless and caring than my dad, he would do anything to help someone else out, pay for their food, give up his seat, speak to someone who most people wouldn’t look twice at, the list goes on. I believe that it is his selflessness and care that led him to be a police officer.

Once I asked my dad if he could take off the belt so I could hug him and he kindly told me “no” and explained to me that he has to wear it for
