With so much information it is providing, there is Iess need for people to memorise or remember information. Now people do not commit information to the memory again as they think a quick internet search will provide the answers to their solutions. Back in the 20th century the old generation were able to memorize words or even a page of article through repetition. But, now many people are just relying on automated tools such as spell checker, auto fill when doing their work (Harris 2016). Harris (2016) expands on this saying that people in this modern world find themselves reliant on Google as they believe its gives them the freedom to look up questions which they have no answers for. We constantly turn to Google to assist us with information which we find difficult or sometimes even easy in this modern world. This search engine provides us with an outlet of vast information, an opportunity to go deeper into what we do not know and even goes further to expand on what we looking for is diminishing our way of thinking. As Google is increasingly taking over traditional way of doing things. It certainly taking over our way of thinking outside the box as well as being curious. Even though Google provides us with knowledge and productivity, it is hindering our critical thinking as a whole. As a society our critical thinking as compared to the old generation is slipping away. With readily made information provided everywhere by Google, we can find solutions to questions we demand online. Instead of people trying to think deeply, they now commit everything now to Google. As humans the more we repeat what we do the more it becomes a habit which cannot be stopped. According to Frith (2011) Carr, identifies that when he goes online to search for information his mind tends to take the information in the way the net distributes it.
