Towards the end of each semester many students worry about their grades, and if they will pass their classes. Some students go all semester, blowing off assignments, not paying attention during class and sometimes students do not even go to class at all. This is not the case with me though; I have been a model student during English class since the first day of the semester. Professor Coyle, I should have my grade raised from the current C plus to a B. There are many reasons why I feel I should have my grade raised to a B, some of which are because of my outstanding attendance, the hard work that went into each paper and the fact that I have five classes to do assignments for.
Many of the students in our English class have not shown good attendance throughout the semester. I on the other hand have not missed a single class. I did whatever it took to assure that I was present for every class. Even when class was canceled I ended up going, only to find out that we did not have to attend that day. Not only was present for every class, I arrived to each class either early or on time. I know that school …show more content…
This is not an easy task by any means. Staying on top of assignments in all of my classes gets very complicated at times. Tests and quizzes are always requiring me to study hours on end. The work does not stop with the tests and quizzes though, research papers were required in a few of the other classes I have. One class in particular assigned a 12 page in total paper that took weeks to complete! Despite the amount of work I have been doing well with all of it. I have an A in every class except for my current C in English, which I cannot get up no matter how hard I try. I have no choice but to do well though, as my School Counts scholarship requires me to stay on top of my academics. Without the scholarship college would be very hard for my parents to pay
