MKD Transportation has several options on how to run their business. Which would include employees, the public, the environment and countless more. The best case scenario would be to have most of these decided before the business is up and running, furthermore, doing so makes things easier for everyone involved to be in the same mind set. How employees are going to be handled truly needs to be specific, so all concerned know what to do if problems arise. With the type of business they are running there will be other concerns that they need to be prepared for, for instance, accidents, theft or injuries.
Let’s begin with the employee management. Who will have the authority to hire and fire employees? Should Human Resources handle all of these or do they need to work in conjunction with the manager that will be working with the employee? Decisions will need to be made whether HR does all of the background checks or have an external company handle this. In regards to

Then they will try to make an amends to the area that was affected. Which could be to make up for the loss of business by possibly publicly advertising what has been done to show the public that the reef is safe and still a wonder of the world. Another possibility would be to add to the area in ways that would make it more appealing to the tourist to persuade them to come back.
The proactive stance would be that they were already in Belize and helping improve the way of life. Possibly have day care set up or special funds to help with college tuition set up for the locals. The oily mess could have been cleaned up before it grew to the point that the media was involved. They would have people that were willing to help since they felt that the company cared about the area, the reef and about them before the problem was a problem.
