Being mechanic is not an easy job and you have to be very careful all the time. A small mistake could get you in big trouble. Safety is very important because you work with machines which are very dangerous. Using right tools for right product is important because all tools have different name and number to it. To comfortably use tools, you need high skills. You can get frustrated easily because sometimes it’s hard to open something in the car. Wearing boots is important because car parts are heavy and if accidently dropped on your feet’s you can get hurt and that’s the reason you would not see mechanics walking around in tennis shoes. The teacher showed us everything step by step what we had to do with the I-Search. Lawliss gave us a lot of examples and paper from which we could see what we needed for our I-Search. Starting my I-Search was very hard because I could not decide on what should I write about. I had 3-5 topics to choose from and with the help of the teacher I was finally able to decide my career but the one I choose was the most related to my career. The topic I choose was the mechanic. I wanted to know everything related to my career. Currently I am taking the beginning class for master mechanic at Yuba College. I always wanted to search about my career and wanted to know everything which a mechanic should know. I did the brainstorming exercise and found a person who I will interview. So far, I have finished the journals and and article. I will be done with I-search essay by December 1 and do peer review in class. I will turn in my I-Search essay in class on December 6. I will work on the essay in my free time and try my best to finish every assignment before its deadline. Diesel vehicles also have changed - they are way more clean and efficient compared to old vehicles. The training for auto technicians today is incredible. The industry is moving extremely fast with technology. Nowadays even basic cars are fully equipped with technology making buyers driving fun but hard for mechanics to work. There was a time when you could be an auto mechanic and work on mechanical things and not touch electrical systems, but that isn 't the way it is anymore. Other methods of training include videos, web-based classes, and live training at dealerships.
