All this is to imply to the audience the general idea about the play and take their attention with a speech of dilemma, Shakespeare has revealed this dilemma right at the beginning of the play by insisting the play of "Romeo and Juliet " is a one constant theme in conflict , which takes place in Verona. ACT 5 SCENE 3:- DEATH OF PARIS, ROMEO AND JULIET
Friar Laurence sends Friar John to deliver a message to Romeo in regards of the plan between Juliet and Friar, however unfortunate the message goes undelivered Due to this the whole plan goes upside down. When news of Juliet 's "death" reaches Romeo, he purchase a potion of his own - a deadly one -from an apothecary and returns to Verona to die alongside Juliet.
At the burial vault, he encounters Paris and his page. Paris is there to lay flowers at Juliet 's grave. Paris recognizes Romeo as the man who killed Tybalt and man who indirectly murdered Juliet, thinks Romeo is going vandalise the tomb. The adversaries quarrel, exchanging insults and then fight, While the page runs out for help, Romeo slays Paris, then takes a last longing look at Juliet, saying
" O my love ! my wife !..." ( 5.3.124-128)
Romeo than swallows the poison and dies. This shows deaths of Romeo and Juliet occur in a sequences of compounding stages; first , Juliet drinks a potion that makes her appear dead , Thinking her dead Romeo than drinks poison that actually kills
