Ever since I was a little boy, I spent a lot of time at the mosque and helped with small things here and there. Now many people at the mosque know me and respect me. I think the most important thing about being a leader at my mosque is gaining the trust of the older generation. There are many kids at the mosque who are "cool" among the youth but resented by the adults for their disrespectful behavior. That 's why I try to get the best of both worlds, and so far I have been successful at it. I am a leader of the youth group which includes over 100 teenagers. I have hundreds of volunteer hours of tutoring and coaching soccer to kids at the mosque. Also, I am founder and president of the Muslim Students Association at my high school, which includes about thirty students. I think this last bit of experience is the one that will help me the most in reaching my goal. In my tenth grade year, me and my friends created A Muslim Students Association at our high school. We had a lot of muslims at the school so support was not hard to find. Then, when I moved to MacArthur High School because of family circumstances, I didn 't know anybody and had to make new friends again. When I got used to MacArthur after a few months, I made a MSA on my own and gathered around twenty people every friday for friday prayer, which we prayed during lunch. I also established weekly meetings among the MSA students where we studied the Quran and planned
