Today legalized murder is a problem throughout the U.S. Most of the victims are sadly unintended and unwanted; many of them were never even given a chance to live. People don’t want to face responsibility for their actions. They turn to getting rid of their “problem” instead of considering other options. Parenthood is difficult and takes a lot of time, energy, and money. However there is always adoption if parenthood is too much at the time. Many people can’t conceive, and those people normally want to be a mom or a dad. Abortion should be illegal unless under the circumstances of rape, incest, or if the mother/baby is being harmed. They can’t speak for themselves that’s why others have to stand up for them. There are many activists out there trying to be the voice of the unborn child. On behalf of the unborn child activists stage protest and demonstrations. Now there are some occasions however where abortion may be the best option for a mother such as rape, incest, or if the mother/baby is being harmed. If the mother is being harmed in any way and her life is at risk because of complications with the pregnancy then the mother’s health will be top priority. The mother’s health and life is far more important than her unborn child’s. In cases like rape or incest the mother does have a choice whether to go through with either the abortion or with the pregnancy. In making this decision though, the mother should remember her unborn child’s life is valuable and priceless. With making the decision, the mother should also consider not only the emotional damage an abortion causes, but also the physical damage it causes. Abortions leaves scar tissue on the uterus which makes other pregnancies later on in the road more difficult. Risk of infection is also possible.
