Over the past week I started to take notes on a 1 to 5 scale of my behavior, mental health, sleep, and the results surprised me a little. My sleep patterns range from long nights such as 12 hours to very little periods such as 5 hours of sleep. Although it didn’t matter how much or little I slept my mental and energy levels were always very low and in a sort of depressive state. I 'm not sure how long this has been going on but I have noted that it has impaired my daily activities. My best friend recommended yoga to me in which she has done for just over a year now. Over this next week or the first three days I am going to do yoga at night right before I got to bed. The next three days I will do yoga in the morning right after I wake up. On the last day I have plans to go over to my best friend 's house and do yoga with her. I will rate like before on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being the worst 5 being the best, I will rate my mental health, behavior, energy levels and amount of sleep. I am also going to try different styles yoga form videos i found online. For the length of the videos will vary, I will do an hour-long video on one night day and one morning day. 45 minutes one night one morning and a 30 minute one night and one morning. On the last day my friend is choosing the video. I started my yoga on Tuesday after a long day at school, It was my first night round to see how I would sleep after doing it. I did an hour-long video and did have to take a short 5 minute break about 45 minutes into the video. It was hard to do some of the poses but I managed to push through. Going to sleep that night was not as successful my mind was awake after doing the yoga I felt refreshed and alive ready to do things. This continued for the other two nights of nigh yoga. On Friday was my first day to do morning yoga and even though by now my cold had only gotten worse and getting out of bed was harder than it should have been I managed to do yoga in all honesty I had a great day at work and felt pretty good for the day although I do not know if this was a result from the yoga or the medication I was taking. The other two days varied for Saturday I was weak and not feeling well but by Sunday I was feeling a bit better. On Monday I went over to Carli 's house and we did yoga together It was lots of fun and we plan on doing it some
