Management and Leadership are the two functional areas of business that interest me and bring me back to school to earn my MBA today. These two functional areas of business interest me because I have the experience and the knowledge it takes to be manager and leader at my current employer. I am here to enhance my knowledge and learn new styles of management that can benefit my future, make me a stronger manager, and a leader at my current job location.

And that’s the price we will have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goals (Vince Lombardi).” Being a leader takes hard work, by leading by example the hard work a leader shows will influence their employees to work just as hard or even harder to achieve and accomplish company goals. Leaders also help out at the work place with conflicts and change. In the past I have seen that change in organization causes concerns for employees. Change is difficult, but a good leader knows how to show change as a positive within an organization. Geneen).” Attitude and actions speak loader than words according to Harold S. Geneen. Being in management you must exemplify your leadership skills with your actions. Employees in an organization look up to the leadership role to follow the actions set by management in order to achieve company goals.
In conclusion, Management and Leadership are the two functional areas that interest me. I plan to follow through as solid leader enhancing all of my management skill levels by using the tools here at The University of Phoenix. Those skills are motivation, leading, managing, good decision making,

Introduction Nursing is a profession within the health sector requiring inspiring role models and nurse leaders. Today's demanding healthcare society greatly challenges the Nursing boards and educational institutions to identify and develop capable nurse leaders. The description of leadership is very complex. AMTCS Steven Rudey-Leadership Philosophy Definition of leadership per the dictionary: the action of leading a group of people or an organization/ the state or position of being a leader/the leaders of an organization, country, etc. This definition, as can be expected, is very generic with little substance. All individuals have great strengths that they use to excel in their career, family life, etc.; but for an individual to not only recognize their weaknesses, but find ways to improve them, can be a challenge.…
