For lab 2.1 Safety of exercise participation my PAR Q had no changes, therefore I am still safe to workout. The biggest differences in Lab 2.1 is in the lifestyle information. I am now consuming the proper amount of fruit and vegetables, compared to what I was consuming originally. I have reduced and cut many high fat foods. I have not been able to adjust my sleeping cycle, because I already struggle to accomplish all my daily activities within my original schedule. The adjustments that I made to the plan are very beneficial in regards to my overall general health, but as well as my fitness goals to live a long healthy life.

In the beginning of the class I had not history of stretching or flexibility, which I stated on my original lab. This created an issue for me because I had no background, so it was like starting from scratch. Many of my original goals were accomplished, but the most important was to install a stretching program in my fitness routine. I am happy to say that I have maintained a flexibility routine within my fitness program. I have not adjusted any of the stretches from my original post, but I have increased how often I stretch. I went from no stretching to stretching every day. I even use my stretch routines on my rest days. This adjustment has been very beneficial in regards to my overall flexibility, and my ability to increase my other fitness goals. I am not having the aches and pains that I originally had, and I have noticed increases in strength and cardio at a much faster

Behavioral Change Project #3 Throughout the month of September and October I focused my behavioral change project on stretching every day over these two months, though at first it was just to start out as stretching every other day, but of course it evolved into what it is today. My goal may have not been one-hundred percent successful, but it did open the door for me to start a healthy habit. So after choosing a goal, I began to do research on basic stretches and beginner yoga techniques to focus on.…

For the next month, I followed the plan religiously with the intent to beat my classmates in weight lighting. In the first two weeks, my body could only handle two strength workouts and three running workouts a week. However, towards the end of the first month, a week’s worth of exercises included four strength and running workouts.…

Summarise why you prescribed the exercises you did & intensities/frequencies etc (use your needs assessment & 8 ACSM guidelines to support your choices) I have prescribed the exercises I have in order for my client to meet her goals in improving her lower and upper strength and for such improvements to be reflected in various tests (grip strength and single leg wall sit). Thus my program entails exercises that are resistance based to build muscle strength overall. I have also prescribed a series of stretches in order to improve my client’s flexibility which is another goal of her (improve in sit and reach test). Such stretches will be performed post aerobic cool down to make sure my client is at the right body temperature that is safe to perform…

Fitness and Goal Setting Knowledge Fitness and goal setting have been the main topic of conversation in this class. Whether we need to work on legs or arms today, or what we are going to do in the future. I learned that it is better to do quantity over quality when it comes to fitness workouts, and that it is always important to stretch and warm up your muscles before a workout to ensure you do not strain any muscles. When reaching towards a goal, you cannot just make it in one try…

Most of the time, when we hear the word “gym”, we associate that word with exercising, getting in shape, lifting weights, losing weight, or staying healthy. For the Nutrition tracker, I decided to use the website My Fitness Pal. I used this site because I have already been using it to track my consumption for the last few weeks as I try to increase my overall health.
