Ahmed also believes in a growth mindset. You don’t have to be an extremist all your life- you are able to change. In his early days of law, Ahmed wanted to make wrongdoers suffer. He was a very good lawyer and he certainly made some arguments that messed up some people’s lives. But, like Malcolm X, he overcame his prejudices and started making fair arguments. Time Magazine sees Ahmed’s faults, but we also see how he succeeded. Before he founded Chains of Humanity, he had helped only 25 clients and had no life except for his work. With Chains of Humanity, he has helped more than 1000 individuals achieve justice in all sorts of cases. He also became more active in his community.
