There are 300,000 lower respiratory infections in children under 18 a year. (“Secondhand Smoke”) In the United States, the costs of extra medical care, illness, and death by secondhand smoke is ten billion dollars a year. (“Secondhand Smoke”) These statistics are jaw dropping. People who are making bad choices are affecting people who do not even smoke in awful ways. The American Cancer organizations identify four places where secondhand smoke is a definite problem: at work, in public places, at home and in the car. "Secondhand Smoke." Smoking can cause numerous health problems that could be simple at first but then gradually take a turn for the worst and make you regret your decision to smoke. Think before your act.
