I. Introduction
A. It was the summer of 2012, I sited at a coffee shop waiting for my sister to pick me up after work. As I sited gently in the coffee shop, sipping my medium ice coffee to keep my body cool because of the hot weather. There are two men and four women discussing about their view on different types of religion. I don’t really pay much attention to their discussion not until I heard one of the women said that, the only things she knows about Islam is that, it is a terrorist religion while the rest of them also said they agree. Immediately I heard this statement, I just smile and nodded my head pitifully to their naiveness.

Now that, we have explored Faith and prayer as parts of the five pillars of Islam. The third among the five pillars of Islam is Zakat (act of alms giving).
C. Zakat
1. It is compulsory for every Muslim to perform Zakat.
2. It is two and half percent from all the Muslims saving and it is performed every year.
3. It gives all Muslims the opportunity to share from their little or large wealth with the people in need.
Shahada (Faith), Salah (Prayer), and Zakat (Alms giving) are three out of the five pillars of Islam. Ramadan (Fasting) is the fourth pillar of the Islam religion.
D. Ramadan ( Fasting)
1. It always occur in the ninth month of the Islamic calendar (Huda, 2014).
2. All Muslims around the globe, abstain from food, drinks, sex, or any other physical needs during daylight hours.
3. It serves as the time to purify the soul, to refocus attention on God, and to practice self-sacrifice (Huda, 2014).
