Introduction
The 12 steps to wholeness works on the basis of making an individual cleansed from the inside out. Upon its initiation, the concept leads one into a transformational path that takes one from self-destruction through a systematic procedure that enables people to take back that road that initially led them to self-destruction. Having being established on the principles of the church, the early employers of the concept worked towards ensuring that self-destructed individuals were being integrated to realize in them their spiritual wholeness from its foundation established as the Lord Jesus Christ. This concept, despite its navigation, the principles, irrespective of their foundations, has been employed by various professionals to help different people from their diverse self-destructive habits that have left many incapable of helping themselves. As such, the principle has proved its usefulness in helping people to work on their challenges. So is the notion applicable in counseling groups that have at times been understood to have challenges relating to individual issues that have the overall effect in the performance of that specific group.

This is based on the understanding that people, irrespective of their social abilities or cultural upbringing, have the tendency to encounter challenges that might be self-inflicted or inflicted by others. This form of interference has been known to hinder the manner in which people relate to each other, more so if they are members of a certain group in turn, holding the group back from realizing its purpose and goals.The group, church recovery group, is to be initiated on the concept of ensuring that the necessary people, in need of help, acquire assistance from their personal self-destructing
