Doing trend analysis also done at stage two, does not have to be part of the project monitoring cycle according to Kendrick, Tom (2009). However it is very useful to examine trend data, the earlier a project leader is able to detect and analyze an adverse trend the easier it will be to bring resolution to the problem and avoid adverse project change or cancellation later on in the project
At all times throughout all stages of the project , always communicate, communicate to the persons involved in the project and especially project sponsors always keep them informed at all times what is happening with the project.

Stage three - Responding to Issues; here it becomes visibly clear any significant differences between plan and actual project performance see the plan variances as issues and resolved them as soon as they occur allow for minimal disruption to a project as well as faster recovery time.
