Introduction
Organizational leadership (OL) is the management approach in determining the best way of performance and what is good for the employees (Davis and Davis, 2004). It is seen as an attitude and work ethics in which individuals are empowered to lead low, middle or top entitled employees. Leadership in an organization comes into three types namely, strategic, managerial and visionary leadership. Strategic leadership (SL) is the concept in which a person is capable of influencing others in a voluntary manner by making day-to-day decisions which in the long run leads to long-term viability in an organization. Similarly, SL maintains an organization’s short term financial stability without an organization being considered financially incapable.

First, my encounter with VL will be explained. VL is observed when an individual has power to influence thoughts and action of employees; which is risky for an organization because if wrong control of people’s thought dominates in an organization, the likelihood of not achieving the right goals is high. A visionary leader is at all times in conflict with top managers for they are much of the times focused on goals that are not focused by top managers. In my experience, one of the managers was very active in shaping ideas of the rest which led to employee’s constantly being interchanged for what they thought they were doing appropriately was exactly the opposite of what top managers wanted. This justify that a visionary leader is proactive in deciding the right approaches that are to be undertaken. One is able to focus on goals of an organization through observation of ethical behaviour and value based decisions. An employee is emphasized on the need to perform appropriately on daily basis as a foundation of future activities. This is an initiative of formulating strategies that are of important in achieving long term goals to ensure survival, growth and viability (Quong, and Walker, 2010). A strategic leader positively influences the performance of the employees via encouragement, demonstration and subjecting them to trainings in improving their performance. The leader is accommodative and wishes to retain employees for a longer time, thus treating them appropriately so as to maximize their expertise for the sake of an organizational rise. The leader is also concerned with strategic controls such as financial controls in making sure that the organization runs smoothly at all times and increasing profits. The leader thinks in both linear and non-linear manner in making the working environment appropriate for the employees. He allows strategic choices to be implemented in making a difference between an organization and its working environment.
